GENERAL CONVENTION 2024

The Episcopal Church is governed at the highest level by its General Convention (GC).  This body meets every three years and comprises two legislative chambers, i.e. the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops.  The deputies are lay and clergy members who have been elected to serve by their dioceses and, as is normal, our Convocation has elected four lay people and four clergy (plus a number of alternates in case someone is unable to attend) to participate in the GC.

Please pray for the ongoing work of the GC and for those who seek to serve God through the church in this way.

More information is available at: https://generalconvention.org/gc81/ and the Episcopal News Service provides reporting at https://episcopalnewsservice.org/

A report produced by our deputies can be seen here.
